The franchise originally joined the National Hockey League in 1979, and the Hurricanes were established in 1997, after relocating from Hartford, Connecticut, to North Carolina. Since arriving in North Carolina, the Hurricanes have captured numerous division titles and Eastern Conference championships and, in 2006, they brought North Carolina its first major professional sports championship, capturing the coveted Stanley Cup. The Panthers were awarded a National Hockey League franchise for Miami in 1992. They were brought into the league and took part in the 1993 expansion draft. In their third season of play, they made it all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals. As a result of realignment in 1998, the Panthers moved to a new division and opened a brand new arena in the South Florida city of Sunrise. In 2003, the Panthers celebrated their tenth anniversary and hosted one of the most exciting NHL All-Star Games in National Hockey League history.

It comes with the original 24 1/4 X 33 1/4 folder with awesome information on the inside cover including the names of the multiple winners of the event through 1996. Those on the print include five-time winners Walter Hagen and Jack Nicklaus and three-time winners Gene Sarazen and Sam Snead. Others on the print also include two-time winners Jim Barnes, Leo Diegel, Paul Runyan, Denny Shute, Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Dave Stockton, Raymond Floyd, Lee Trevino, Larry Nelson and Nick Price.
